We met Amon at a outdoor show in Pennsylvania and knew right away that we wanted to do our spring bear hunt with Shattuck Creek Outfitters. We were looking for an outfitter that knew what they were doing, but weren’t so big to forget our name. We chose wisely. Amon made it clear that he would do anything (legally) he could to get our bears… and his staff had the same philosophy. When we asked why he drove himself into the ground to make sure we had a good time, he said: “I just like to hunt.” I’m not sure who was more excited when I shot my bear, me or Amon and his dogs! Our trip was by far the most memorable hunt we have had thus far. Not bad for a honeymoon.

I have been on several guided hunts over the years but never have I had a better time than at Shattuck Creek Outfitters. This is a place you can take your family and friends. Lots of game and good food. Lord willing Amon and Barbara will be seeing more of me in the years to come.
