I just experienced an outstanding hunt with Shattuck Creek Outfitters. Amon and his crew worked very hard to help get my very first bear! The lodging was great, the food was excellent, and the guides were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The communication and teamwork were exceptional, and I got my bear on the afternoon of day two on a five day bear hunt over bait. They have a very experienced taxidermist who they work with, and if you go that route, everything is taken care of for you. I learned a great deal during the hunt and have booked another hunt for next Fall; and this time my wife will be coming along to try for her first bear!
